There
are some collectors out there who try to pick up the most unique
and sometimes bizarre items connected with Redemption. They
are the players that put the "fan" in "fanatic".
Here
is a concise collection of every collectible item bearing the name
of Redemption. How does your collection stack up?
Blank
card - These cards have a blank front with the flaming sword
on the back. On occasion a player will find a few in a pack.
Blanks are generally used to align the cutting machine so if you
get one it is strictly by accident. These cards would certainly
fall into the ultra-rare catagorie due to their scarcity.
Original
play-testing cards - All games have rough pla-test components.
They could be index cards with writing or slips of paper.
The original play test cards for Redemption consisted of white labels,
a rough clip art image, and sometimes hand written numbers and icons
on a blank playing card. These cards still exist in varying
numbers at Cactus Game Design.
Site
play-testing cards - Because the site cards were such a "radical"
change to the game, sets of site play-test cards were sent out to
select play-testers for their critiques and thoughts. There
are twelve in all, just like the final versions in the WotB set.
They are white labels with what was then the "new" site icon, title
and Bible reference verse stuck on a blank Redemption card.
Artifact
play-testing cards - This set consists of ten artifacts; the
original eight found in the Warriors expansion and two that never
made the cut, "Idol of Merodach" and "Head of Dagon". The
cards were printed on white labels with titles, special ability,
and Bible reference verse. The label was also stuck on a blank
Redemption card.

Errors
- The four WotB errors are probably THE most collectible items
in the game. There are only 300 of each in existence.
The four cards are Lydia, Jochobed, Bravery of Priscilla, and Jairus's
Daughter. All four were printed without numbers. Other errors
include Kindness with a cross icon instead of a Bible and Stolen
Blessing without its special ability.
Redemption
bottle caps - Back when bottle caps were all the rage, Cactus
Games licensed out 100 images from the original edition to be made
into Redemption bottle caps. The project flopped. However,
searching players have occasionally uncovered a cache of these caps.
Redemption
clothing
Redemption Flaming Sword t-shirt and baseball hat - David Easterling carried a variety of Redemption T-Shirts and baseball caps sporting the flaming sword image for players. The shirts can occasionally be seen at Redemption events nationwide.
Redemption Angel shirt - Chris Funkhouser had a Redemption shirt designed for the 2004 National Tournament. It depicts an angel painted by Bleu Terrell. The shirts were printed mainly in two colors, 150 black shirts and 150 blue shirts. However, two shirts were printed in gray and two shirts were printed in stone washed blue for color test purposes.
Player's
guide - Written by David Easterling this book covers the cards
and strategies for the first two Redemption sets. A few are
still available from the author himself. If you want this
for your collection, now is the time to track it down.
Black
collector case - Sold at the www.redemption.com this case was
the staple of every Redemption player. It can hold six decks
and dice/counting stones. Most of these cases have the Redemption
logo on the cover.
Redemption
board game - While different than the card game, the boardgame
carries the title, images, and icons of the card game. This
game is still produced and sold by Talicor Inc.
Square
Patriarchs cards - Cactus receives the extra cards after a print
run. For some reason the Patriarch singles had not had their
corners cut. A few of thcards got pulled before the cards
were sent back for final cutting. Occasionally a few of these can
be found for sale on e-bay.
Redmption Markers – Chris Bany had sets of stone markers made so players could place the stone on the the card set aside, thus keeping the playing area clear of extra cards. The four stones are Gathered (Gathering of Angels), Provisioned (Provisions), Towered (Tower), and a generic Poison counter.
Redemption Dice Bag – Beautiful dice bags created in 2004 for www.threelionsgaming.com. These dice bags had “Redemption” stitched into them on red cloth.
