Fortress Cards

Fortress cards are cards that are placed in a players territory to take effect. Fortress cards do a variety of things. They protect heroes and evil characters in play from various effects. Fortress cards can also be used to store cards or prevent discards depending on the fortess card's ability. Fortresses cannot lost souls. They also cannot be used to gain access to lost soul sites.

Attention new players: The cards Goshen and Kingdom's of this World printed in the Warriors expansion set (as of June 1, 2001) have lost soul site icons. However, when they were reprinted in the C & D starter decks, they were given the proper fortress icon. Both cards can be played, regardless of the icon, but they must be treated as fortress cards.
