Fun Cards

From the beginning of Redemption, players have dreamed up cards from the strange to surreal. Cards have floated around bearing the images ranging from F-16 Fighter Jets to Jedi Knights. Making dream cards has always been a fun past-time for me, with my most famous card being the "Larry Boy" card that many of you have in your collections (the one posted is a newer version). From time to time I work up new ones and they find their way here. I hope you enjoy them!

Many of you e-mail me and want to know how to make such cards. I am afraid if you are asking that question, you cannot do it. There are ways it can be done on basic photo editors, but it is tricky. The cards below were made with the Cactus templates, using a program called "Quark Express". Now, please don't run out and buy that program. Even if you had it Cactus is not willing to part with the templates. Sorry!

	John Calvin When the Faith of our Fathers set was a few months from releasing, talk on the news group turned to extra Biblical characters. Would Cactus ever do a set of cards based on church history? I thought I would have some fun and decided on the Protestant Reformer John Calvin. As anticipated, it spurred a lot of talk!
	Mountain Dew Yes, the rumors are true. There was no Mountain Dew at the 2004 National Tournament. I devised a card that would take care of this problem at future tournaments. Enjoy the free Mountain Dew!
	Strong Bad Taken from an extremely hilarious cartoon on the internet, strong bad is easily becoming an American icon. www.homestarrunner.com

	Demons to Plowshares Using a terrific image from the awesome ArchAngel comics, I just couldn't help but think up this title while viewing Michael destroying Lord Balera. (Thanks to Scott S. for the correction!) www.cahabaproductions.com
	Larry Boy Everyone's favorite veggie had to become a Redemption card. While Larry portrayed many characters, none or more memerable, or likable than Larry Boy. www.veggietales.com
	Brutus the Buckeye Being a big Ohio State football fan I had to make a card, not only about Brutus, but also something that worked against Redemption® players from that state up north. Go Bucks! Beat Michigan!
