Weapon Class Cards

The newer expansion sets, like the Kings set, have characters that can carry weapon cards. Weapons are nice because they do not get discarded after they are used in battle. They stay with the character when the character returns to its territory.

Warrior Class Characters

Warrior Class Characters can be either heroes or evil characters. They look like regular characters except that they have a weapon symbol (one 1/2 of a puzzle piece showing half a shield) below the card icon located in the upper left corner of the card.  A Warrior class character can hold one weapon class enhancement outside the field of battle.

Warrior Class Enhancements

Weapon Class Enhancements look like regular enhancements except that they have a weapon symbol on the left side of the card (the other 1/2 of the puzzle piece show the other 1/2 of the shield) .
A weapon class enhancement can be played in one of two ways:

1. Played during battle as a regular enhancement and used by any character of matching brigade, following the regular rules of initiative.

2.  Placed on a weapon class character of matching brigade during artifact activation phase or discard phase.

How they are used

An enhancement with the weapon symbol may remain on a character who has a weapon symbol. For example, If a weapon class enhancement was played on a warrior in battle, immediately following the battle when the used enhancements are discarded, the player may decide to keep the weapon class enhancement with the warrior when it comes back to his territory. Only one weapon may stay on a character at any one time. If a weapon class enhancement is played during battle on a character that is not a warrior, the weapon class enhancement is discarded after battle like any other enhancement.

The special ability on the weapon class enhancement is activated each time the card enters battle, and only lasts for the duration of the battle, unless stated otherwise.

If a warrior is discarded or captured, all weapon class enhancements on the character are discarded.  If a warrior is converted, one weapon class enhancement may remain on the warrior provided it does not conflict with the theme of the game.
